The Proceedings of the First International Symposium on Textiles, Fashion and Decolonial Sustainabilities (2026) bring together the reflections, questions and proposals shared during a gathering focused on dismantling the violences of fashion. Through critical, diverse and situated perspectives, the contributions invite us to recognize the social, cultural, epistemic, spiritual, ecological and structural violences that sustain the dominant fashion system, as well as to imagine paths towards its transformation. More than a record of the presentations, these Proceedings are an invitation to continue the dialogue, question what we have come to take for granted, and collectively build other ways of understanding, teaching, producing and relating to textiles and dress, grounded in decoloniality, justice and respect for the diversity of forms of life and knowledge.
